Starting times and disciplines

Sommer 2027.

The exact dates and times will be announced in time for registration.

NOTE: Schedule and course are subject to change. The race will take place regardless of the weather, unless there is a weather warning from the German Weather Service.

To ensure a relaxed start for you, we`ll also be introducing starting blocks at the event "die Generalprobe". Please follow the signs at the entrance to the starting blocks. Faster runners should position themselves further forward in the lineup, while those who are not quite as fast should position themselves further back in the starting block. This will save you unnecessary jostling or annoying overtaking maneuvers in the first few meters.

Make room in your closet and donate your shoes!

Do you have well-preserved sports shoes or sneakers at home? Then bring them along when you pick up your race bib for die Generalprobe.

The Berliner Stadtmission (Berlin City Mission) donation box will be open on site during the race material pickup and will accept your donations directly. We are collecting running shoes and sneakers for people experiencing homelessness.

Your support is urgently needed: up to 180 people are supported every day through the clothing center and rely on donations like yours.

Timekeeping and time limit

Timekeeping is done with a transponder, which is attached to the back of your bib number. To ensure the functionality of the transponder, the number must not be bent or damaged in any way. The time is measured as usual by running over the measuring mats at the start and finish. As this is a “disposable transponder”, there is no need to return it.

The time limit is 3:00 h after crossing the start line.

Refreshments

There are several points along the course where you can refresh yourself and recharge your energy. The stations are all located on the right-hand side as you run and also offer refill stations for your hydration system. You’ll find these at the last table of each water station – look for the “Refill” sign!

  • KM 2.5: Water, tea
  • KM 5: Water, tea
  • KM 7.9: Water, tea
  • KM 10.5: Water, tea, banana (quarter-marathon finish area, half-marathon intermediate aid station)
  • KM 13.5: Water, tea
  • KM 15.9: Water, tea
  • KM 18.5: Water, tea
  • KM 21: Water, tea, banana (Half Marathon finish area)

After the race, all participants will also receive an energy bar.

Help us recycle by throwing your cup into the bins behind the refresh stations.

Pacer for your target times

To support you as a runner in achieving your dream time, pacemakers will be across all start waves.

They carry pacer flags with the corresponding finish time:

1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30 hours.
